Republican gubernatorial candidate Kevin Smith received some high-profile support Wednesday when former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani accompanied him on a campaign stop at Foss Manufacturing.
The stop was part of a day of campaigning in southern New Hampshire that saw Smith and Giuliani also participate in events in Salem and Kingston. Smith brought a pro-business message to employees at Foss, a plant that manufactures needle-punch fabric made from discarded plastic water bottles. The fabric is used for carpets, clothing and other items, including New Balance sneakers and surgical masks.
“I’m blown away. This is unbelievable,” Giuliani said as company President Mike DeGrace gave him a tour of the 650,000-square-foot facility on Merrill Industrial Drive.
